Goodbye TOMS

I love my TOMS (all 3 pairs), I love color blocking, and I love a comfy shoe. Hello MYMU! I need a pair (or 2) of these!!

My dear friend Kilee is getting married next weekend in Boca Grande, FL and has asked me to style her hair for the wedding reception. I am soooo honored and of course I gladly accepted. Now it’s time to brainstorm (AKA Google Image Search) and find some good looks. She was thinking of a low bun, but I want to add some spunk and attitude to this bun and make it messy yet sophisticated.

Ladies of NYC!! It’s Fleet Week so put on your Sunday best and holla at some sailors!

Summertime is right around the corner and just the perfect time for me to cut the sleeves off an old jean jacket. Call it 80’s, 90’s, whatever you want, but I feel a jean vest is much cuter than a jacket. So take some scissors and cut away!
I love to play with proportions, especially oversized tops with little bottoms. This is not a new concept, as you can clearly see in the video “These Boots Are Made For Walking” by Nancy Sinatra that a boyfriend sweater and booty shorts have already been worn together, but it’s still oh so chic.
My friends through me an amazing bachelorette party last night! We had lots of drinks (a Tasha-Tini and Mrs. Strauss cocktail), then food catered by Whole Foods, Sugar Sweet Sunshine cupcakes and banana pudding (my fav), and gifts of lingerie. We all then went to WIP where a friend got us a table and danced for hours. It was “A Night to Forget”….forget because we drank and drank and drank! Thank goodness for pictures!
Sorry about the sudden obsession with The Mama’s and Papa’s. Their songs remind me of Spring Break and Summer days and that makes me happy. What I love more than their music is the beautiful Michelle Phillips. Maybe it’s my inner flower child, but I want her look (with a little asian twist of course). It’s crazy how fashion recycles itself!

I love this song, but what I love about this particular performance are the go-go dancers that pop out of the bathtub wearing crew neck sweatshirts and pleated skirts. I want one of the Hullabaloo sweatshirts!
